ON HIATUS

I haven’t made any posts recently. I have been very busy preparing for a baseball card show on December 4th in Orland Park. I will be selling about 40 original drawings for between $30 and $100 each. So my blog has taken a back seat in the meantime.

Yes, it was quite an experience. But the five hours did fly by. It never seemed to drag on. It was interesting to see what it was like to sit behind a vendor booth during a show. You can only really show two pieces of artwork, and people ususally just take a look at those two and walk by. It certainly would be helpful to sell smaller artwork… Read more »

Sounds like my first art fair in Oak Park. What a disaster. Never mind that it was outdoors in the middle of the summer. I got a pretty good sunburn as well as getting “burned” by not pulling in a single commission or selling a single item. Still, I did learn quite a bit and it was definitely worth going.

So Moose, are you going to put your pictures up on eBay or sell them through your site? You may find some buyers

Another thing learned at the card show is that when you sell items at a baseball card show, you should wear some sort of sport clothing… cubs hat, bears shirt. Something. To not wear any sport team apparel makes you look kinda dweeby.

Sounds good, I will try to remember to discuss this further with you well after the Holidays are over. I think this will look great on the wall of the Packer room.

Just give me the link to your ebay store so I can take a look at the baseball drawings when you add them.
