dyed clementines

dyed clementines

Attention Chicago area produce buyers:Do not buy clementines at Dominick’s. I was peeling a clementine for my daughter and was disappointed to see the vibrantly artificial orange color of the inside peel. Shown above. I’m far from being any sort of produce critic, but this action certainly shocked me.

Hancock Center and Burj Khalifa

Hancock Center and Burj Khalifa

The newly opened Burj Khalifa is a stunning 2,717 feet tall. To put that in perspective it’s almost like stacking two John Hancock Centers on each other. Chicago’s John Hancock Center, 9th tallest building in the world, is 1,127 feet tall. Three years ago, I blogged about what a double Hancock would look like. Little […]

Wrigley Field troughs will be history

Wrigley Field troughs will be history

Tom Ricketts wants male Cubs fans to wait in line to use the restroom. I don’t like this guy. I don’t like him one bit. The infamous Wrigley Field mens’ restroom urinal troughs will be gone next season and I’m not happy about it. It’s new Cubs owner, Tom Rickett’s top priority according to chicagobusiness.com. […]

It’s interesting to know that I could own a hand-painted reproduction of one of my favorite paintings, “The Rock”, by Peter Blume. There’s various sizes starting from 16×20″ at $220.
