trampoline coffee table by Alberto Bonomi

Oh Alberto Bonomi, you crazy, crazy man!

Alberto designed a coffee table with a trampoline in the middle. The idea is rooted from the observation that no one puts their drinks in the middle of a coffee table. They always put their drinks near the edge. The middle of the coffee is wasted space. So why not put a trampoline in the middle. Insanely brillant!

That is cool! But at first glance, I thought it was a flying saucer, or a bonfire pit.

What about when you have a football party and you need to put all the chips and dip in the middle of the table?

I totally understand the concept here of wasted space, but why a trampoline? You’re just asking for injuries and lawsuits.

Why not leave the middle totally empty like a doughnut. People could then either leave it as is, or fill it with something of their choosing such as a plant, a garbage can, a lamp, a lazy susan filled with snacks, whatever.

Mark, cuz you need a trampoline for the monkey bounce on while serving your chips and dip during the football game.

The lazy susan could serve the chips and dip. Although it wouldn’t be as entertaining as a monkey on a trampoline.
