Banana chips are weird.

They are loaded with fat and have almost no flavor. I’ll say the texture is curious which is good and bad. But I’d much rather just eat a regular banana any day.

I concur: the texture is OK, but you would think that dehydrating a banana would concentrate the flavor and the sugars and they would taste like something! I’ll presume the fat is added in some form. I haven’t had a banana chip in a long time, but I have started the routine of bruleeing my bananas, sliced bananas that is. Cut a banana into 1 inch slices, sprinkle each with a pinch of light brown sugar. Use a kitchen blow torch or your oven’s broiler to caramelize (brulee) the banana.
